Round Top’s First Wellness Retreat for Interior Designers Comes to Stardust Ranch This October

This October, something entirely new is coming to Round Top, Texas.

Stardust Ranch is bringing together 32 interior designers from Houston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio for an intimate wellness retreat created exclusively for the design community.

In partnership with Harvia Group and Ferguson, the experience will bring wellness and design together for a day centered around restoration, connection, and the ways our environments influence how we feel.

Round Top has long been a destination for interior designers seeking antiques, inspiration, craftsmanship, and community. This October, we are creating an entirely different reason to gather.

A moment to slow down.

A moment to experience wellness rather than simply design for it.

Experiencing Wellness Through Design

Wellness is increasingly shaping the way we think about our homes.

Bathrooms are becoming places of restoration. Outdoor spaces are being designed for ritual and retreat. Steam, sauna, hydrotherapy, natural materials, and sensory experiences are becoming meaningful parts of residential design.

For the designers shaping these spaces for their clients, we wanted to create an opportunity to experience those ideas firsthand.

Throughout the day, our 32 guests will move through a series of thoughtfully curated wellness experiences across Stardust Ranch.

The morning will begin with yoga followed by a chef led breakfast, setting the tone for a day designed around slowing down and reconnecting.

From there, designers will rotate through experiences including sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge, with time to enjoy Stardust Ranch’s copper bathtubs, outdoor showers, and pool.

Guests will also experience a tea tasting, steam shower experiences, and massage, creating moments throughout the day to explore wellness through temperature, water, touch, scent, and ritual.

We will come back together for a chef led lunch, giving designers from Houston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio time to connect, exchange ideas, and enjoy the ranch.

The retreat will close with a sound bath, offering a final moment to reset before returning to the pace of Round Top.

A New Kind of Gathering in Round Top

Round Top is one of the most important gathering places for the Texas design community.

For decades, designers have come here to discover objects, meet makers, source for projects, and find inspiration.

With this retreat, Stardust Ranch is introducing wellness into that conversation.

Together with Harvia Group and Ferguson, we are exploring a question that is becoming increasingly relevant to interior design:

How can the spaces we create help people live and feel better?

It is a conversation that extends far beyond the bathroom or the spa.

It is about how we design homes that encourage restoration, connection, comfort, and everyday rituals of well being.

And we believe Round Top is the perfect place to begin it.

An Intimate Experience for 32 Interior Designers

This October retreat is intentionally limited to 32 interior designers from Houston, Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio.

Keeping the group intimate allows each designer to fully participate in the experiences, connect with fellow members of the Texas design community, and spend meaningful time with our partners at Harvia Group and Ferguson.

It also allows Stardust Ranch to remain what we want it to be for the day: a place to slow down, experience something new, and leave feeling restored and inspired.
