Quiet, vast, and naturally beautiful, Stardust Ranch inspires a deep exhale the moment you arrive. The goal from the beginning was to take a meadowscape approach, honoring that peaceful feeling and leaning into the raw landscape, not working against it. 

Designing With the Land, Not Over It

Instead of manicured lawns or foreign features, every element of the outdoor design is intended to feel like it’s always belonged. In partnership with Seedlings Landscape Design Build, our team began crafting a plan that would preserve the land’s integrity while subtly enhancing it. Together, we’ve created natural pathways that intuitively and effortlessly link the Bowie and Ziggy House, Heroes Pavilion, and the Wellness Station.

Privacy features, like a ranch awning near the front drive, are being introduced with care, blending seamlessly into the natural backdrop without disrupting the view.

A Commitment to Sustainability

From day one, sustainability has been a core value. One of the first hires was an arborist, who came in to assess and tend to the existing trees. Only two had to be removed, but the rest were treated, trimmed, and preserved. The aim has always been long-lasting, meaningful changes, not quick fixes or surface-level improvements.

Plants and outdoor materials are locally sourced and native to Central Texas, ensuring they thrive naturally in the climate and contribute to a balanced ecosystem. This not only supports local biodiversity but minimizes water use and long-term maintenance.

What does “meadowscape” mean at Stardust Ranch? It’s a feeling. Think: native grasses swaying in the breeze, walking barefoot across open fields, and stopping to admire the seasonal wildflowers. It’s about letting nature lead and allowing curated design to slip into the background. The pool, firepit, and the outdoor lounging areas are about access, not excess.
